As a kid growing up in the projects in Flushing, New York, I was lucky enough to have a mom who understood my need to express myself through music. With no money for drums, she let me pull out every pot and pan she owned and use them as a makeshift kit. When the noise violations piled up, she never told me to stop playing. Instead, she paid the tickets and let me have my joy. 

By the time I was a young teenager, I had acquired an actual drum kit and was gigging around NYC and Queens with an all-adult funk band. Since those days, I've worked on a diverse range of projects in multiple styles of music. I've written and recorded with dozens of New York-based bands, released an instructional video through Warner Bros., toured with Britny Fox, The Good Rats, Johnny Bhive and Soulshake (the Radio Chick's house band), and even sat in with Eddie Money for a surprise performance at my kids' elementary school. 

Now based out of Connecticut, I continue to record in the home studio I share with my drummer son, Christian HAM Peragine.
